Dhamma School is to provide children who attend with knowledge of the doctrine of the Buddha so that they become enriched with it and develop into virtuous individuals as they grow older. The school provides the foundation for them to become fruitful members of society with compassionate minds.
To accomplish this valuable objective IBF offers lessons of Dhamma to all who wish to learn the Buddha’s teachings in Sinhala. Classes are free of charge and conducted by the resident monks as well as volunteers from the community.
The Dhamma School classes begins by seeking refuge in the Buddha, Dhamma, and the Sangha by reciting the five precepts in Pāli.
